Small Business Photographer in San Francisco Bay Area | Amanda Mathson

Hi, I’m Amanda.

I’m a branding photographer and SEO consultant for small businesses, startups, and solo entrepreneurs in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Whether you need some fresh headshots or more quality traffic to your website, I’d love to help you take your online presence to a new level.

I love small businesses

I have a special place in my heart for startups and small businesses, especially women-owned businesses. There’s something about the creative energy and excitement of a small business that I just love to be a part of. I’ve worked with a wide range of businesses in just about every industry, both as a photographer and a marketing consultant. No two projects have been exactly alike, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

branding is top of mind

As a long-time marketing consultant for small businesses, I understand the importance of building a strong, cohesive brand, and I regularly tap into this experience as a photographer. I work closely with small business owners and their design and marketing teams to be sure their headshots or lifestyle photos align with their overall brand personality.

SF Bay Area and beyond

Tucked between San Francisco and the Napa Valley is where you’ll find Marin County – the beautifully quirky place I call home with my husband and our two rescue mutts, Mila and Finnegan. No matter the time of year, this place is extremely photogenic, to say the least. I work throughout the Bay Area but I’m always open to traveling anywhere in California and beyond, especially Oregon and Washington.

What to expect from me as your photographer

Not only do I want to provide you with photos that you love, but I want you to actually enjoy the experience of capturing them.

As a photographer, I aim to capture the beauty of real life, without a lot of frills or fuss. Your photos should reflect you at your best, not some fake or contrived version of you.

If we end up working together, you can expect to have fun (yes, fun!) and a low-key time, with zero pressure for you to try to be someone you’re not. My number-one goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible in front of my camera because that’s when your most beautiful, authentic self will shine through.

Having professional photos done should never be an intimidating or dreadful task. Even more than that, it should be a pleasurable experience that you will look forward to doing again. I will do everything I can to make sure that’s the case.
